Coaching is
a partnership between a qualified coach and an individual or a team, designed to provide support in achieving goals. A coach helps a person move up a level by expanding a skill, by boosting performance, or even by changing the way a person thinks. Coaches help people grow. Coaching is not therapy, nor consulting.
Coaching does not look at why you are the way you are, nor do coaches give you advice. The coach listens, observes, questions, offers honest feedback, and utilizes various methods of communicating that support you in reaching goals. Coaching accelerates progress by providing greater focus and awareness of possibilities, leading to more effective choices.

Where do I find A Coach for me?
We recommend that you hire a coach certified by the International Coach Federation or by an ICF- accredited coaching school. To find a coach for you, go to one of the Bay Area coaching chapter websites (see logos here). To start the coaching process, most coaches offer a 30-minute complimentary phone session for you to experience coaching and determine if he/she is the right coach for you.
